Crispy Korean Seafood Pancakes
Haemul Pajeon is a popular and beloved dish in Korean cuisine. These savory pancakes are made by mixing a pancake batter with a generous helping of seafood such as squid, octopus and oysters. What you’ll need
- 120g korean pancake mix
- 230 ml of cold water
- 1 egg
- 140g mixed seafood (such as mussel meat, brown shrimp and squid rings)
- 1 bunch of spring onions, chopped
- 1/4 chinese cabbage, chopped
- 2 tbsp kimchi
- 3-4 tbsp vegetable oil

Step 1
In a large bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, egg, and cold water until combined. Stir in the green onions, cabbage, kimchi, garlic, seafood and seasonings and mix well.
Step 2
Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat and add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the batter into the pan and spread it out into a thin circle.
Step 3
Cook the pancake for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the edges are crispy and the center is cooked through.Repeat this process until all of the batter has been used. Serve with a soy and chili oil dipping sauce and enjoy!
