The haddock in our fish pie is caught in Iceland and smoked in Grimsby. Iceland  is very focused on fish and looks after its stocks carefully. Icelandic haddock gets the second highest score  of 2 on the 1-5 rating made by the Marine Conservation Society(MCS). The prawns come from Greenland and they also have an MCS Rating of 2. Our monkfish is typically beam-trawled in Sea Area 27.7 (ie west of Cornwall and Eire). Its MSC grade is 3. Beaming gets few plaudits but the stock is of monkfish in this area is healthy.
